My Story
The Breaking Point
I used to do everything “right.”
Train harder. Eat less. Hustle more.
From the outside, I looked like I had it together — lean, disciplined, “fit.”
But the truth? I was falling apart.
I chased control through addiction, restriction, and overtraining.
Competing became my identity, and punishment became my coping mechanism.
Then life humbled me — hard.
Motherhood entered the chat.
After my first pregnancy, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s.
After my second, psoriasis showed up.
My body was inflamed, my hormones were wrecked, and my nervous system was screaming for help.
But I kept pushing — caffeine for breakfast, cardio for stress, and perfection as my purpose.
That wasn’t strength.
That was survival mode disguised as willpower.
The Wake-Up Call
Turning 40 hit differently.
My body stopped responding to all the things that used to work.
I was exhausted, inflamed, and frustrated that no one was talking about how different midlife really is.
I realized I didn’t need another plan to fix me —
I needed to heal me.
To rebuild from the inside out — physically, hormonally, and emotionally.
So I did what I do best:
I started learning.
Digging.
Rebuilding.
And I finally started listening — not to the industry, but to my body.
The Rebuild
I traded punishment for presence.
Restriction for real food.
Cardio punishment for heavy lifting and strength that built me, not broke me.
I learned how to fuel for my hormones, not fight them.
And most importantly — I learned that nervous system regulation wasn’t optional.
It was everything.
Slowly, the inflammation dropped. My energy came back. My confidence returned — not because I got smaller, but because I got stronger.
I stopped living in fight or flight, and started living in flow.
